Ox tongue in mushroom sauce served with mashed potatoes topped with browned frozen yogurt onion bits. It really sounds so exotic but you may be surprised that most Filipino recipe books include a version of this dish. My father had his own version too. And I want to share mine. This type of dish – because of its price in the Philippines, is served usually in fancy and expensive dog wheelchair restaurants and hotels. A few slices are arranged on the dinner plate and served with a scoop or two of mashed potatoes when served with microdermabrasion machine mushroom sauce. Neither is it a dish commonly served at home because of the long cooking time needed. But that does not mean we can’t enjoy it. First of all, you don’t have to do everything all the same time. The mashed potatoes, for example, can be prepared few hours earlier and kept in the refrigerator. While simmering the Glidegear ox tongue, you can do other things like read a book, log in to your facebook or twitter account, watch TV, take a nap, do the laundry, clean the house and so forth. Four hours is a long waiting time, so you can be productive within that period. No reason to just sit and wait for the pet wheelchair meat to become tender. When I cook this dish, I prepare the mashed potatoes and cook the ox tongue in the morning. Then, I cool the tongue on a plate, remove the skin, cover it with cling wrap and let it sit in the fridge until it’s time to prepare for dinner. The cooler the tongue, the easier it is to slice. If you slice it while still warm, the snore mouthpiece meat will crumble and your cooked dish will look like a disaster. Besides, you can’t brown the sliced tongue in butter unless it is cold and firm. As to the mashed potatoes, the idea of mixing in the skin was something I learned over a luncheon buffet at a local sylvan microdermabrasion steak restaurant. I figured, why not? Aren’t most of the nutrients of the potato supposed to be in the skin? I had to sound off my kids first, though. When the said sure!, I went ahead. Now we go to the browned onion bits, what’s the idea? Well, steadicam bacon bits on mashed potatoes simply means just adding something salty taste to it. But sweet onion bits over suffiently salted mashed potatoes is something else. To achieve this taste, it is important to use white frozen yogurt machine onions. Red onions won’t do the trick. It is the delicate sweetness of white onions that is just perfect for this recipe. It is likewise important to add sufficient salt to the mashed potatoes. So here’s the ingredients: one kilo ox tongue, two tablespoons of snoring mouthguard vinegar, one whole garlic, one whole white onion, six peppercorns, one bay leaf, one-half carrot, a few stalks of leek, one can condensed mushroom soup, one-fourth cup and two tablespoons of butter, one white chopped onion. one half kilos of potatoes, one-half cup of camcorder stabilizer milk, salt and pepper, one teaspoon of finely chopped parsley, one whole white onion sliced, four chopped button mushrooms. Once you’ve prepared your ingredients, you can now start with scraping the ox tongue with a dermabrasion machine knife and rinse well under running water. Place the ox tongue in a glass bowl and cover with water. Add two tablespoons of vinegar. Using your hands, “wash” the ox tongue in the water-vinegar solution and rinse well. Place the ox tongue in a video camera stabilizer casserole and cover with enough water. Pierce garlic in several places with a sharp pointed knife. then add garlic, onion, carrot, leeks, peppercorns and bay leaf to the tongue. Set over medium heat and bring to a soft boil, and make sure to remove scum as it rises. Lower heat, cover and simmer for about 4 hours until tender. While simmering the dog wheelchair meat, you can prepare the mashed potatoes. Using a pastry brush, scrub the potatoes under the tap, making sure that no soil remains on the skin. Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with enough water. Add one teaspoon of steadicam salt. Set over high heat and bring to a boil then lower heat, cover and simmer until tender. To test for doneness, insert a pointed knife at the thickest part of the potatoes. If it comes out clean then your potatoes are ready. Drain the potatoes and transfer to a glass bowl. Slice the best friend mobility potatoes into small pieces. Mash it with a fork and make sure not to remove the skin. Add two tablespoons of butter and mix well. Season with it with salt and pepper and pour in one-half cup of milk in a thin stream. Blend well. Stir in the chopped parsley and cover the frozen yogurt bowl with a cling wrap. Once the tongue is tender, transfer it to a plate and let cool completely. Remove the skin and slice crosswise into one-fourth inch thick slices. Set aside and strain the broth. Over medium-high heat, melt one tablespoon of dogwheelchairscenter butter in a skillet. Brown the chopped onion. Remove it with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels and set aside. Increase heat to high and melt the remaining butter in the skillet. Add the sliced lengua or ox tongue and brown them in batches, removing them as they brown and adding more microdermabrasion machine butter if needed. Saute the sliced onion in the skillet and add the chopped button mushrooms. Dilute the mushroom soup with the meat broth. Use equal parts of soup and broth for a regular sauce and reduce the amount of broth by half for a thicker sauce. Pour diluted soup into the skillet. Lower heat to medium and bring to a soft boil, stirring to make sure that no lumps remain. Return the tongue slices to the pet wheelchair skillet and heat through. So on how to serve this, spoon the mashed potatoes at the center of the serving plate. Top with the browned onion bits. Arrange the meat slices on both sides of the mashed potatoes. Pour the sauce over the meat and serve hot.
